eleven months.

Harper is now 11-months-old. She weighs about 23 pounds - which means that she is too big for the infant car seat. She is now in the convertible carseat, which she still isn't a big fan of. She seems to want to sit straight up, and that isn't how the rear-facing carseat works. We plan on trying to keep her rear-facing for at least a few more months (if not longer), but if she keeps up the fuss we may switch to forward-facing sooner rather than later.

She is still taking her one nap a day and she still isn't a big fan of solids - although she is getting better about eating "real food." Slowly but surely.

She doesn't crawl anymore and hasn't for a few weeks. She is now a "walker." Which to me also means that she isn't a 'baby' anymore. Now she is a 'toddler'.

I think she is teething again - working on her molars. It's not fun, but we will get through it!

She says quite a few words - mama, dada, bye-bye, hi, Hayden (which doesn't really sound like 'Hayden'), bottle, ball, and night night.

I plan on sending out her 1st birthday party invitations sometime next week. We are going to have a fun, casual gathering at our home for friends and family to mark the occasion. No theme - we aren't "theme birthday" people. We do plan on utilizing her Cinco de Mayo birthday though to our advantage by having Mexican beer and other Mexican appetizers (like salsa, chips, and guacamole). It should be an enjoyable celebration.

It is really hard to believe that my little baby girl is almost 1, but she is. Just one more month to go.
